The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. Increase in self-esteem and mental alertness makes school sports and games necessary for every school age child.
We at Gyananda believe that sports not only develop a child's physical stamina but is also instrumental in developing essential qualities like confidence, resilience, leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance which become a learning for life. Sports are an essential element of our daily routine at Gyananda and our students enjoy the various sports activities which are a part of the school sports program and include Badminton , Basketball, skating, swimming, self defense (Karate) and Tennis. The School Infrastructure proudly offers indoor Badminton courts, Basketball courts, an indoor skating rink, a state of the art indoor swimming pool, Tennis court , Play area and a mini field for the young children. The students are mentored and trained by an expert PE staff and by the visiting mentors who are specialists from specific fields.
